Planting Seeds
By Eleanor Benson, Casper, Wyoming
Each year our interns go on a two-week mission trip before completing the C110 Force internship (that’s C – one – ten, as in Col. 1:10). This year’s adventure took our intern to Israel. As Christians, many of us have a desire to see the Holy Land and tour the spots where Jesus ministered; but that was not the purpose of this trip. Our group stayed in Jericho, the Palestinian side of the country. While they did do some sight-seeing, most of their time was spent working with Seeds of Hope, Tass Abu Saada’s ministry to Palestinian Arabs. They cleaned buildings, picked up trash from the streets, scrubbed a rooftop, and led the Easter Sunday service.
Some may argue about the impact of short-term missions trips, but our guys had the opportunity to see a Muslim convert to Christianity during their stay. This is the kind of fruit that Christians in that area pray for every day. It’s illegal to preach the gospel, so the gospel must be lived out before others until they are curious enough to start asking questions and desire change in their lives. If seeds are planted or watered, if men and women give their lives to Jesus, there is nothing greater we could ask.
In the attached picture you’ll see Cameron Lynch (our intern), Jason Benson (who went along for the fun), and Justin Limmer, who is the C110 Force leader.

Glory to God for what He has done! The nations are truly His inheritance. May many more come into the fold through your (our) lives.
