Mike Poulton, A True Steersman

So what is a Steersman? Every Apostolic team needs one and is somewhat dysfunctional without one. A Steersman is positioned next to the captain with his hand on the ship’s rudder. He steers the ship for the Captain and other officers.

During our September conference, we will have the privilege of having a visit from Mike and Cath Poulton. Mike is the Basingstoke team administrator, which includes overseeing the legal and financial work for the Basingstoke Community Churches. He is a trustee for the Salt and Light worldwide family. He’s been a Christian over 35 years and has worked in church ‘admin’ for a long time. Mike’s passion is to look after all the ‘back office’ functions of churches, to release others into their Steersman gifting and ministry.

He’s married to Cath and they have a daughter and a grandson. Mike is part of the Basingstoke West Congregation. Mike and Cath will be visiting the Pittsburg and Kirksville churches during September.
